This is a photograph I took in Central Park in New York City last Saturday after the 252 year old St Patrick’s Day Parade. It’s Spring but snow-covered the ground and the trees in the park like it was December so I couldn’t resist. I think it’s National Geographic’s worthy because of the connection the Norwegian woman had with the squirrel and not to mention the environment. It’s perfect and natural. It wasn’t forced or made up. When people and nature are in harmony, life tailors itself the way it was intended to be. And the proof is in the photograph. The gaze between the animal and the woman says one thing. It says, “We understand and trust each other enough to stand inches away without fear because love is king and respect is queen, and nature agrees”. I wouldn’t have imagined in a million years, that I would have seen this kind of connection between human and animal in Central Park. So to me it’s pure perfection…
