Warner Brothers has a new distribution deal with Paramount. The new deal starts at the beginning of the year “Jan 1st 2013”. They’ll distribute 600+ films through Blu-ray and DVD through the U.S and Canada “North America”. That’s big business 1st quarter right out of the gates. But Paramount still owns the movies’ video-on-demand on cable tv. I see that as a win-win situation even though Paramount still has the upper-hand. To me video-on-demand is equivalent to music digital downloads.
