I think Jay Z’s interview on what he thought about Occupy Wall Streets purpose was more helpful than it was harmful. He had some great points because so far the over all message has been 99% vs the 1% without knowing why and I’ve never agreed with that. If the movements purpose is about the 99% not having enough money than there have been more than enough chances for the people who camp out on a regular basis to talk about ways to make money. I mean if your going to camp out and protest about not having enough money for months all that means is that your definitely spending more time on worsening the problem if that’s really the problem as opposed to coming up with solutions for it. Jay Z said, “This is free enterprise. This is what America is built on.” in his New York Times interview. I think that’s a statement he truly stands behind because as soon as the Occupy Wallstreet Movement started he had shirts designed that said “OCCUPY ALL STREETS” instead of the movement’s name. And he made a killing off of that. I don’t think anyone who camped out on a regular basis would have done that because they were in the eye of the storm. And it’s too complicated to come up with solutions when your surrounded by thousands of others who are screaming and shouting about what they say the problem is. You know I love camping out but camping out in the cities just isn’t my style. I prefer to camp out in the woods. But taking it back to Jays statement of America being a free enterprise and how it was built on that. Last year I said that instead of camping out and going to Zuccotti Park shouting and screaming I would go there with a bunch of business cards networking in the middle of the crowd. I wasn’t trying to be funny I was very serious because to me that would have been an opportunity to get business.

I think Occupy Wallstreet should take heed to Jays statement in the New York Times of how, “This is free enterprise. This is what America is built on.” instead of being offended. I think Jay’s point of view should be accepted and considered because it helped organize the movement constructively whether people like it or not. So far the movement has targeted the 1% for its cause without having a visible reason because according to some its an invisible bully. But overall if you ask me everything happens for a reason and maybe people camping out was sort of a way to prepare people for anything worse that may come. I’m just looking at the overall reaction.
