Michael Corleone was another Michael who wowed people. He was the son of mafia don Vito Corleone in The God Father, which has 3 parts to it. It’s not your ordinary movie about organized crime.
It’s more about love, family, loyalty, passion, betrayal, and power. Michael was as smart as they came. And the only reason he stepped into the Don position was because his father Vito was gunned down while shopping at a market under the watch of one of his other sons Fredo. When two gunman began running up on Vito he ran but got gunned down and was hit 5 times. His son Fredo didn’t know what to do. He had a gun and he dropped it. Maybe non of that wouldn’t have happened had one of the body guards not had called out sick. And ultimately they found out he had something to do with it.
But they didn’t think Michael was to be in his father’s position initially until he proved it. And wow, he was bold. But he ended up becoming Don and Vito, his father became his consigliere. Prior to the position change, Vito’s adopted son/family attorney Tom Hagen was his consigliere so he knew how to be one. Michael chose Vito to be consigliere because he didn’t think he could trust Tom enough. So he just kept him as the family lawyer. But throughout the saga you got the chance to see what tradition organized crime movies didn’t show. It completely blew the stereotypical view away. The director Francis Ford Coppola created a masterpiece that’s a hard act to follow. You have other organized crime movies that are good but non compares to The God Father as of yet. Michael went through it all. Some how in films and in music Michaels are always great at what they do if not the best.
