I said that when Paul Geller (Senior Vice President Of External Affairs At Groove Shark) said that Universal Music Group and Digital Music News are conspiring to bring them down. Digital Music News denied it and said it was paranoia and I quote, “may also be part of a calculated PR effort”.

The free online music site “Groove Shark” has been hit with a 17 Billion dollar lawsuit by Universal Music Group. NOT 17 million, I said 17 BILLION! I know I said that I wouldn’t speak on this situation as much as I did with Guy Hands and EMI because of the type of companies. But I also did say that it would be rather interesting to see how this turns out. This is music history like Guy Hands and EMI (The company that Russian born billionaire Len Blavatnik purchased for £4.2 billion a few month ago, who’s also the owner of Warner Music Group “The worlds only publicly traded music company” ). Universal Music Group ( “The worlds biggest record label” The company that wants to buy EMI for £1.2billion) is suing Groove Shark (The company that puts up free music on its site, even though it tells its users not to post material they don’t own) for $17 Billion.

Whether you are for or against SOPA and PIPA this is something definitely to keep up with.

It’s an all out war that can be straightened out with the proper circulation of wealth.
