I don’t really know how corporations started but I do know that it has to be one of the greatest things invented. Unlike other business organizations a corporation can be treated like a human. It can sale, buy, sue and get sued. Some corporations go public and some corporations remain private.

But it doesn’t matter whether a corporations goes public or remain private because they both have shares. Their have been many movies where corporations have been the setting. And a lot goes on with those corporations. Some corporations remain a family business and others get taken over by other people or other businesses. Once a corporations founder(s) no longer own 51% (The lions share), they are no longer in full control of that corporation. So if you start-up a corporation and you are in search of capital for that corporation and you intend on keeping it, make sure you never give up more than 50%. If you give up more than 50% you no longer have power over your idea. You then become just a shareholder in someone else’s corporation. Do you see how quickly the tides can shift? So if not 50/50 then 51/49.

Some corporations have been around for over 100 years and others are brand new. But it doesn’t matter because the same rules still apply. Whether young or old they both can still buy, sale, sue and get sued.
