You know I was thinking earlier today about rumors, sabotage, and all of those other nasty little things that go on in the entertainment business. From my experience in music and film I’d have to say, I’m disappointed. Not disappointed in doing music or film, but disappointed in some of the things people do to artist and actors. Especially if you’re an artist or actor/actress with an incredible amount of talent. I’ve had my music erased from studios. I’ve lost managers. I’ve been hit by a hit and run on the highway and got amnesia from it. People treated me like they didn’t know me. I’ve lost a fiance and I had to build back up from scratch. In the words of Steven Spielberg after his movie “Jaws” got jerked for certain awards at the Grammys “Everyone loves a winner, but no one loves a winner”. But did it all have to go down like that? When did being talented become a curse? I don’t remember reading anything in any manual that says that you have to dim your light because it’s not fair to others playing the game. But at the same time I do remember watching “The Never Ending Story”. I remember how Atreyu had to get pass the two sphinxes alone. And I remember how those sphinxes read his heart to see what he really thought about himself. Luckily he believed in himself or he may have been destroyed for not believing in himself. All I can say is, wow what a journey so far and I haven’t even talked about alot of other things. I’ll save some for my kids when I have some.
